Ok, I have a confession to make. I am addicted to rompers and jumpsuits. To me, they feel just like wearing a dress, but a little more functional. The one drawback to wearing a romper or jumpsuit is the whole using the bathroom situation. I don’t like the fact that you have to get completely undressed to do your business. It always makes me nervous. Because, there will always be that one stall that won’t lock, and someone is always bound to walk in. Which always leaves you in the awkward dance of trying to hold the door shut with one hand and keeping your pants up from hitting the floor, while hurrying because your quads are burning from the squatting position.
I am willing to overlook all that, because they are THAT comfortable. So, I have rounded up some of my favorite’s rompers below. Stay tuned for a jumpsuit post. Yes, the love runs so deep that I have to do a whole separate blog post strictly just for jumpsuits.
The first one that I want to share is this gorgeous floral keyhole sleeve number from Target. It is incredibly breathable and lightweight. I wore this romper when we went to St. Louis, and it was perfect for the brutal heat of July. We walked over 10 miles that day, and I can safely report that no chaffing occurred while wearing this romper. (Which can happen with you mix sweat, cotton, and repeated thigh rubbing.) I know that this exact romper is old. But, I have linked a similar style and fit options below that are made of the same wondrous materials as this one. This one runs true to size.
The next romper that I am sharing is this black ruffle one from Old Navy. Let me tell you; this one is so good. I do warn you that the material is cotton/linen blend and is thicker than the one above. So, I recommend this stunner for a date night, shopping day, or girls’ night. I wore this romper to a friend’s baby shower, and it was perfect. The tie belt is the perfect way to define your waists and helps to add dimension to this all black look.
As you can see, it is so versatile that you can style it so many different ways. Just for fun, another way to style it is by adding a white blue jean jacket and Keds for more a street style vibe. This one runs true to size as well.
Keeping with the black romper trend, I found this gorgeous one from H&M. This one is little more dressy, than the previous one. The material is made from crepe suit-like material and is silk lined. So, it would be a little warm to wear out in the sun, but it is perfect for a date night. The belt help to define your waist and breaks up the black a bit. This would look great with a white blazer layered over top. It runs true to size.
The last one that I am going to share is this striped romper from Target. I love the pop of skin under the bow on the front; it is a great way to show off some skin without overdoing it. The vertical stripes help to elongate your figure, and the length of the short fits perfectly. The material is lightweight and has a crepe feel to the touch. This look would be perfect for a backyard BBQ or for the Fourth of July event. This romper runs true to size as well.
