My Hat Collection

My love of hats runs deep. I love any type of hat from baseball, beanie, flat-brim, floppy, or fedora. Hats are the perfect way to hide a bad hair day or finish any outfit. However, it can be hard to find the perfect hat that looks good. I have tried on tons of hats that look amazing on the shelf, only to try them on and they immediately look ridiculous. I am sure many of you have had the same happen to you. So, I decided to share my hat collection and a few of my other favorite finds that might work for you. I hope that if you haven’t found the perfect hat, or you are too scared to add them to your closet that this post will provide you with the much-needed inspiration!

The first style of hat that I am going to share is the standard baseball cap. This style of hat is perfect for a hot sunny day outside or at the beach, or simply hiding your day 5 hair while running errands around town. What I love the most about baseball caps is that they come in tons of colors and prints. So, you can find the perfect one for whatever mood you are in! My favorite caps to wear are sports teams, like the Atlanta Braves, Auburn Tigers, or Birmingham Barons. But I love a good solid or athletic brand cap like Nike. I also enjoy a cap that has saying on it, like “Bad Hair Day.” However, probably my most worn cap is my BHM airport code hat, it just goes with everything! I wear them all the time. See below for a few ways that I like to wear baseball caps.

The second style of hat that I love is fedora. This style of hat, besides the baseball cap, is one of the styles I have worn the most. For me, when I was expanding my hat game, fedoras were the easiest style to transition into. I love both of the traditional fedora or the wider brim fedora hats. Check out a few of my favorite ways to wear fedora hats below.

The third style of hat I just recently started to wear are flat-brim or floppy hats. These styles of hats are one of the hardest for me to wear because I don’t think that I can pull them off as well as the other styles. So, I only have one of each in my collection, but I am hoping to find a few more. I just recently got this light tan one from Urban Outfitters, and I have been loving it! See below for how I have worn these two styles below.

Another style of hat that I just recently got into is page boy hats. I have been wanting to wear this style of hat for the longest time, but I just couldn’t find one that I thought I could pull off. I was beyond excited when I found this one at Target! It’s a gorgeous navy, and it will go with so much!

The last style of hat that I probably wear the most second to a baseball cap, are beanies. I personally feel like beanies look the best on me. I pull them out as soon as the temps start to drop because I can’t wait to pull out my beanies. Plus, they are super fun because they come in so many shapes, colors, and prints. Which is a fun way to a pop of color or print to any outfit.

Let me know what style of hats you like to wear in the comments! You can shop for my favorite hats below or check out my beach hat post for more of my favorites!
