It’s been one whole year since I started this journey into blogging. I have been following bloggers for years, and secretly wanting to start one myself for the longest time. I had been talking about it for a good year before I finally made the leap into blogging. I’m so glad that I did! The hardest part is believing in yourself and just do it!
SKB has been such a passion project for me. I have spent countless hours working on it, linking stuff, engaging, styling outfits, editing, and shooting clothes. I have ENJOYED every minute of it. I truly believe this was something I was meant to do.
When I was deciding what I wanted to blog about, I knew the focus had to be on fashion. It was what inspired me the most, but I wanted to also encompass my love of travel, beauty, and home décor. I also knew that I wanted to feature thrifty finds because I am a girl on a budget. At the time I started, I didn’t really see a lot of bloggers sharing “affordable” clothes that I would want to buy. Don’t get me wrong, they were sharing clothes I wanted, but I couldn’t purchase them.
I also knew that I wanted to share my life. I wanted to share ME. I have always been an over sharer, you can ask anyone. I will tell you probably more than you wanted to know. So, it only felt natural to share that as well.
One of my favorite things that have come from starting the blog, are the connections that I have made with my fellow bloggers. I have made so many new friends, and it’s amazing at the community of girls that want to support each other.
My goal for year two is continuing to share what I love and new life changes. I want to continue to provide you with affordable fashion inspiration. Overall, I just want to share more of what you want to see. Last, but not least, I want to connect MORE with you! I am extremely thankful for each and every one of you for supporting my dream. It means the world to me.
I have to say a special thanks to my husband, Aunt Sharon, Uncle Van, and Mom for helping me shoot and create content. For spending your time to help make my dream come true. It means so much to me.
All of my love, Samantha
Here is to Year 2!!
